Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 July 2026
Float ("we", "us") is operated by Paul Audi, trading as FloatHQ (ABN 97 819 794 775). We take privacy seriously and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect. When you submit an enquiry or join our founding list, we collect the details you provide: your name, venue or business name, email address, phone number (if given), and what you tell us about your business. If you request our resources, we collect your email address. We also collect basic technical information common to all websites, such as pages visited, and may use privacy-focused analytics that do not identify you personally.
Why we collect it. We use your information to respond to your enquiry, provide the information or access you requested, operate our waitlist, improve our products and website, and — only where you have given consent — send you updates about Float. Every marketing email we send includes a working unsubscribe link, in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
Where it's stored. Your information is stored securely with our service providers, including database hosting (Supabase) and email delivery (Resend). Some of these providers store data on servers located outside Australia, including in Singapore, Japan, and the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle your information consistently with Australian privacy standards.
Who we share it with. We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers above to the extent needed to operate Float, or where required by law.
Access, correction, and deletion. You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@floathq.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Unsubscribing. You can opt out of our emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by contacting us directly.
Complaints. If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, contact us first at hello@floathq.com.au and we will do our best to resolve it. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Changes. We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page.
